- Start – Pause the game

Face buttons[ | ]
- ❌ — Jump
- ○ — Ranged attack (uses 1 moon)
- □ — Melee attack
- △ — View camera in 1st person (HOLD)
Shoulder buttons[ | ]
- L1 – rotate camera
- L2
- R1 – rotate camera
- R2
Left analog stick/D-Pad[ | ]
As with all PlayStation One games of the time, the left analog stick and D-Pad behave identically and in-game are used to move Ruff or Tumble through the environment.
- ↑ — Move forwards
- ↓ — Move backwards
- ← — Move left
- → — Move right
